Well, it’s really tough to pick a favorite, so i’ll go with the one that got me into reading again. It’s East of Eden, I was pregnant with my 4th child, and saw that it was the book in Oprah’s book club. I started reading and was hooked!

I love the books written by Katherine Stone but I have not seen one come out in a bit. I like the first of her books Bel Air. But I have discovered the books written by Viola Shipman (a pen name). They are wonderful.

My all-time favorite book is Great Gatsby. I love Fitzgerald’s style of writing. And the story has it all! Unrequited love, interesting characters living in the time period I love the most, unhappy marriages, a transformation of the narrator…just everything!

The Shining by Stephen King is my favorite horror story and given that it is almost Halloween, I thought that I would mention it. I like the horror element of course but I really love the connection between Halloran and Danny

I love the A Discovery of Witches series by Deborah Harkness, it is one of the few series that I have read more than once. The details and history were just so descriptive and vibrant that it was easy to see that the author didn’t just do extensive research to write a good story but that she had an educated and long-term knowledge of several of the elements of the backstory

One of my favourite books is Floating in My Mother’s Palm by Ursula Hegi.
I loved it because the main character and her mother had an interesting relationship. Strong character studies.
Plus, it takes place in Germany. Always a win for me.

My favourite book is The Birthhouse by Ann McKay.
I love it because it takes place in rural Novia Scotia. The midwife
has a gift of healing, and some of the townfolk don’t trust her.
    Some think she’s a witch.
It was a highly interesting book.

I actually enjoyed the Twilight books very much, in many ways, I could relate to Bella as I get totally immersed in a relationship as she did and I completely shut down when I am hurt and grieving. I also liked Stephanie Meyer’s take on the Vampire lore, it was very different from what I am used to reading

I have so many to be honest. But one of my very favorites is The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Sebold doesn’t shy away from the uncomfortable, though her interpretation of death and what comes after, both on Earth and in Heaven, creates a hope that you wouldn’t expect from a novel. She really paints the picture so well. She is an amazing author.
