When single mom Annalise Grant inherits a fledgling Christmas tree farm in Texas, she vows to do whatever it takes to make it a success. But when neighbor Hawkins Prescott claims some of her trees are on his property, the only option is a partnership. As Christmas draws closer, Annalise and Hawkins find themselves growing closer as well. Could a family by Christmas become part of the deal?

My Review

This is the 2nd book that I’ve read in the Hope Crossing series. I enjoyed this one more than the first. The characters are so believable, as country farm neighbors have been willing to pitch in and be helpful. When Annalise brings her little girl to a Christmas Tree farm, she doesn’t know what she’s getting in for. She’s done a lot of reading about farming Christmas Trees, but has no experience and hasn’t driven the machinary on the farm.

The man whose farm is next to hers is very interested in Annalise because someone in the past has moved the property fence, stealing 3 acres of his farm. She is confronted and offers to collaborate to share the profits. Hawkins and his gracious family help her so that the Christmas Tree Farm is ready for the Christmas Sale. Annalise and Hawkins really like each other, but because of lost love’s in the past can’t seem to be open to romance.

Will a terrible storm that destroys Annalise’s barn be the last straw?

This easy to read clean romance is charming and has many Christian references in it. I didn’t want to put it down, because I wanted to see what would happen next to the sympathetic main characters. This is a great little book to read during the Christmas season or anytime, because of the never-ending lessons to be learned.
