Do you love fresh berries? I love to make desserts with berries, especially muffins or scones. This old cookbook has my favorite muffin recipe. (Ebay has quite a few for sale). It’s an adaptable recipe, but the blueberry muffins are my favorite.

I am doing some re-reading and just finished A Difficult Disguise by Michelle Kasey. She has died, but her heirs are working on getting her books published in ebook format, and if you like Regency romance she was one of the best. She also published as Kasey Michaels.

Im currently reading a mystery book called Friend Request. It’s been an okay read so far – not the best thriller, but it’s keeping me interested

Just got in the door from making a quick trip to the rural local market where everything costs ten times what it does in town. Sure is heating up out there 82 degrees today. I am staying inside and doing some work.

I just finished a thrilled called Friend Request. It was OKAY – it did keep me guessing which is always what I hope for in a thriller, but it still lacked SOMETHING

Just got in the door from doing running around Post Office, Bank etc. Need to sit for a while and give my poor feet a break now even my “comfortable” shoes seem to hurt my feet.

The book I am reading – She Didn’t See It Coming is…. interesting. I really cannot guess WHO did it,partly because the characters are all so bizarre.

I am JUST finishing (The last 20 pages) of the book She Didn’t See It Coming – and though I cannot guess who the ‘bad guy’ is… the characters are really odd and too far out there. Not a book i’d recommend, unfortunately.

Happy Saturday to all. I just got in the door from doing a bunch of running around before it gets too hot. We are heading into a major heat wave here. Got fried chicken and corn on the cob for dinner should be yummy with my homemade potato salad.

We were up all night because someone started a forest fire on the mountain behind our house and we were on evacuation notice all night long. Makes me so mad because it didn’t just start by itself and we have had no weather here so it wasn’t lightning!
