Olivia removed her coat and laid it on a nearby chair. The room was a bit chilly, but she
wouldn’t be here long. Her heart skipped a beat when she heard a bump in the next room. She
moved slowly toward the sound while she glanced around for a weapon. She had no desire to
encounter a rat or any other critter that might have sought shelter from the cold. Holding her cane
in two hands she stepped into the room.
The wardrobe burst open and Max fell out.
